Hi again, it's me Fiona.
I just read the latest posts on this thread - sorry it's
been so long!
I think my kids just wanted to know that they were not Rheumatoid Factor Positive,
at that moment.
Given that I am their mother and I am Positive for this test.
It just gave them a bit of peace of mind that for the present they are negative,
because I seem to remember reading that in some of the blood tests they can
detect R.A tendencies up to 15 years before any symptoms begin.
Also, as others have said, some people test positive and never experience any
disease!
I think that my son probably had more blood work done than my daughter as
he had some symptoms of "something", but whatever they tested him for
he was clear of R.A indicators at that time.
Best wishes,
Fiona
P.S my younger son who is 29, has more to worry about R.A wise than the other
two, as my ex mother in law , his paternal Grandmother had severe R.A from
the age of 45!
